ChargerLAB found separated power-conversion and wireless sections, thermal potting and an aluminum case—not merely a logo upgrade. Its test measured about 25W effective wireless output on an iPhone 16 Pro Max; the cost is defensible for an iPhone owner who already has a suitable USB-C PD adapter.
Conducts heat away from the charging electronics.
Supports heat transfer and secures components.
More resistant to abrasion than the older smooth cable.
An exceptionally small, clean puck with excellent magnetic placement. It travels well but is not a stand and the captive cable is not repairable.
Good internal construction and braided cable; the non-replaceable cable remains the primary wear risk.
