Dense memory foam with a removable base for two heights and a machine-washable velour cover, under $35. Softer underfoot than any plastic rest here, without the mechanical precision of a locking hinge.

The value is honest: the spend buys dense foam, a separate height base, washable cover, and two-mode geometry. It is a comfort-first product, not a faux-luxury cushion; do not pay above roughly $45.
Contours to feet more comfortably than rigid trays while resisting cheap-foam collapse.
Machine washable, though it catches lint more readily than mesh.
Improves grip on normal office flooring.
Clean, soft, low-visual-noise form. Removing the base changes height; turning it over makes a gentle fidget rocker. This is much nicer barefoot than textured plastic but is inherently less exact than a mechanical rest.
Good at its price, but not heirloom: wash the cover and rotate/use the firm base; foam will eventually soften before a rigid platform fails.
