SUBSTANCE SCORES
WHY THE PRICE IS JUSTIFIED
This is deliberately old-school: a substantial 600W drive, simple paddles, stainless cutters and a replaceable bowl system. Money goes toward torque, stability and a mature parts ecosystem, not presets. Laboratory slicing results are excellent and the design’s decades of field history make it more credible than newer feature-heavy compact processors.
MATERIALS
Durable cutters deliver excellent slicing and very good shredding in independent testing.
Replaceable, impact-resistant parts support long service rather than disposal.
Mass and rigidity improve stability and protect the 600W drive.
CRITERIA
IDEAL FOR
- ·Small households
- ·Compact kitchens
- ·Dips and pastry
- ·Repair-minded buyers
NOT FOR
- ·Large bread batches
- ·Bulk meal prep
- ·Users wanting adjustable discs
DESIGN & ERGONOMICS
Compact, sober and reassuringly heavy. Paddle controls are tactile and the flat processing cover is useful. Lid/pusher interlocks require a learned sequence, but feedback is positive once aligned.
LONGEVITY
Excellent for the class: five-year motor warranty, many long-lived predecessors and readily sourced bowls, lids, pushers, blades and discs.
