Independent testing found this plastic V60 retains slurry heat better than its ceramic counterpart, producing a brighter cup for less money. Spiral-rib 60-degree cone takes ubiquitous V60-02 papers.

This is the rare case where the cheapest material is also the performance material: plastic loses less brew heat than ceramic or glass, while the mature 60°/spiral-rib geometry and ubiquitous filters make it a genuine tool rather than a fashion object.
Low thermal mass avoids drawing much heat from the slurry; it is also shatter-resistant.
Extremely light, cleanly functional and compact. The handle/base are simple and stable, though the open cone demands attentive pouring.
Many years; no mechanism or fragile component. Filters are exceptionally easy to find.
