Name: SPOT Tool Stand Desk
Brand: KING JIM

BUDGET

Eight fabric pockets keep an active work kit visible and ready to move. The 1 kg load limit and cramped triangular centre rule out heavy tools, mugs and bulky headphones.

WHY THE PRICE IS JUSTIFIED

The local 3,630 JPY offer buys visible multi-pocket organization and portability rather than fine cabinetmaking. Useful if the whole kit moves; less compelling than a tray if it never leaves the desk.

MATERIALS

Pockets and bodyPolyester

Soft compartments accommodate mixed work tools.

FrameSteel

Maintains the freestanding folded-board form.

CRITERIA

8/10

Desk-Scale Form

Editorial judgement: the shallow signboard silhouette and visible pockets give this textile caddy a clear identity; width is 370 mm.

8/10

Daily Reach Ritual

First-hand reviewer loaded tools, iPad mini and papers; keyboard/headphone retrieval inside the triangular space was cramped.

9/10

Five-Year Usefulness

Eight pockets and an open central space are format-agnostic; no electrical or proprietary system is involved.

8/10

Reliable Containment

Desk-model owner demonstrated actual loading. Stay within the maker’s 1 kg limit; the inner space is not a mug carrier.

5/10

Repairable Wear

Sewn fabric and fixed frame lack verified replacement parts. Manufacturer damp-cloth instructions are not long-term wear evidence.

IDEAL FOR

·Lightweight mobile work kits
·Visible stationery storage

NOT FOR

·Loads above 1 kg
·Transporting drinks alongside electronics
·Large keyboard-and-headphone storage

DESIGN & ERGONOMICS

The open fabric pockets make contents legible without a drawer. Handles facilitate moving a kit; the triangular central void is awkward for headphones and a keyboard, and ordinary mugs do not fit.

LONGEVITY

No multi-year desk-model wear study or replacement-pocket program was found. Fabric seams, handles and coating remain unquantified wear points. Damp-cloth care and the load limit are manufacturer guidance, not demonstrated lifespan.
