Vileda Steam Plus

Name: Vileda Steam Plus
Brand: Vileda

The triangular head reaches corners more cleanly than rectangular rivals, while the 2.3-kg body stays manageable. Even steam supports daily cleaning, but the fixed tank limits maintenance.

WHY THE PRICE IS JUSTIFIED

The value lies in sufficient, evenly spread steam and an exceptionally maneuverable head, not accessory count. F.A.Z. found it worked well despite basic engineering. Manufacturer readiness is 15 seconds, but independent use took longer to fully wet the cloth.

MATERIALS

Mop cover91% polyester / 9% polypropylene

Washable textile cover; composition is specified rather than inferred.

·Compact storage

NOT FOR

·Above-floor attachments
·Large removable-tank preference

DESIGN & ERGONOMICS

Slim red-and-black body, shaped grip and low triangular swivel head make corner work comfortable. At 2.3 kg it is comparatively manageable. The handle detaches for storage; the 0.4-L tank cannot be removed for filling.

LONGEVITY

Replacement covers are sold and the official guarantee is two years. No convincing independent long-term durability test was found. Fixed-tank construction is less convenient to maintain; follow the manufacturer water and cleaning instructions.
