WHY THE PRICE IS JUSTIFIED

The official Japanese product page lists ¥4,950, 23 L, a 3-kg load limit, coated steel, and a natural-wood handle. First-hand owner reports describe easy carrying and successful everyday use, while retailer evidence identifies the exact 2809 model and reports that its open mesh helps with damp clothing. The main tradeoff is limited capacity and visible contents.

The rounded handle is described as easy to hold and supports carrying.

Owners report that carrying the basket is easy; retailer copy describes one-handed carrying with collapsible handles.

Five-Year Fit

The basket uses simple steel and wood with no electronics; replacement parts and long-term support were not verified.

7/10

Load-and-Airflow Test

The official capacity is 23 L with a 3-kg limit; open mesh supports airflow, but M-only large-load evidence is limited.

6/10

Wear, Wash, Repair

The official finish is coated steel and an owner reports no rust or dirt with damp items; this is anecdotal, not a controlled corrosion test, and repair support is unknown.

·Users who carry laundry by hand

NOT FOR

·Long-term storage of wet clothing

DESIGN & ERGONOMICS

The official description highlights aligned steel lines and wood, while owner reports call the wood handle attractive and the design cute. The open wire exposes contents; retailer evidence says there is no liner, and the 23-L capacity is modest.

LONGEVITY

The official specification identifies coated steel and a 3-kg load limit. An owner reports that damp items caused no rust or dirt, but this is anecdotal rather than a controlled corrosion test. The retailer describes the frame as water-repellent and says there is no liner. Replacement parts and a repair program were not verified.
