WHY THE PRICE IS JUSTIFIED

Tray transformation, structured fabric, bright lining and 3-year warranty provide tangible value. Pack Hacker found no loose threads after a month, but lint pickup and corner zipper slowdown. It is not protective enough for fragile tools under heavy compression.

MATERIALS

ShellRecycled woven fabric; composition varies by colourway

Light, structured and everyday-durable; surface attracts lint.

LiningHigh-visibility synthetic lining

Improves visibility; coating and cleaning method unverified.

Zipper/accentsWater-resistant YKK zipper and leather pull highlights

Good handling and moisture resistance, but mixed-material care.

CRITERIA

9/10

Situated Form

Structured case folds into a stable tray with grooves; bright lining aids visibility.

8/10

Daily Handling

Pull loops and tray access are excellent, though zipper can slow at corners.

8/10

Five-Year Usefulness

Tray storage adapts to pens and small accessories without software or proprietary fit; long-pencil access remains a constraint.

7/10

Reliable Carry

Light, structured, water-resistant; no rigid shell or crush protection.

7/10

Wear and Care

No loose threads after one month; fabric attracts dust and care instructions are uncertain.

IDEAL FOR

·Minimalist EDC of pens, markers, erasers and cables
·Desk users who want a tray
·Normal-length pens and small personal items

NOT FOR

·Unsharpened long pencils
·Fragile instruments needing crush protection
·People wanting a washable single-material case

DESIGN & ERGONOMICS

Structured walls open into a shallow tray; pull loops make the bag easy to hold. A previous-version review found restricted long-pencil access; current-version testing reports dust attraction and occasional resistance at zipper corners.

LONGEVITY

Pack Hacker's one-month test found no loose threads or durability issues; Bellroy provides a 3-year materials/workmanship warranty. Five-year survival, repairability, parts and exact cleaning procedure remain unverified.
